Designing Motherhood
Opening at the Mütter Museum and the centre for Architecture and Design, Designing Motherhood is a first-of-its-kind exhibition of the arc of human reproduction through the lens of design.
The identity and graphic concept is a play on the O’s within the word “Motherhood”. The circle is a powerful symbol of life and birth. It’s expanding and contracting form is an expression of the change and tensions experienced during pregnancy. The circle is also treated as metaphorical lens through which the objects on show are examined.
